Day One of Reaching My Goals

Off to a good start!  Grabbed some coffees and met a friend who I’ve been dying to see.  So nice to catch up, even if it was just for an hour.  Said friend, Jill, is a follower of the Baptiste yoga method, which happens to be holding a teacher trainer conference in August…a little pricey but if I can somehow make it happen I would love to attend.  

Breakfast this morning was completely on a whim:  Whole Foods fresh cut fruit cup/bowl and a Larabar, blueberry muffin blend.  Larabars are great.  They are one of the only bars that I will buy.  Why?  They are simple.  Grab one and read the ingredients.  This blueberry muffin one has:  dates, cashews, unsweetened blueberries, blueberry juice concentrate, lemon juice concentrate, and vanilla extract.  Does it taste exactly like a blueberry muffin?  Hell no, not really even close.  But why would a BAR taste like a nice fluffy buttery MUFFIN.  Don’t have unrealistic expectations.  

Leaving now to go on a hike with Nick.  We are going to repeat the same trail that we last took over at Amythst Brook Conservation Area, just going to try to do it a little bit faster this time.  It’s a beautiful day out and I need fresh air.  I’ve been neglecting the gym but I honestly have absolutely no desire to be on a piece of equipment inside brick walls…save that for a rainy day!
